Does Disney World guarantee connecting rooms?
This surprises people, because Disney doesn’t advertise it. A party of one or two adults with minor children can book multiple rooms on a single reservation that’s marked guaranteed connecting. The catch is you have to book it by phone.
How the family guarantee works
Interior connecting doors exist throughout Walt Disney World’s resort hotels. For most parties they’re a request. But for the specific case of one or two adults traveling with minor children, Disney will put multiple rooms on one reservation and mark them as guaranteed connecting.
You can’t do this with the website’s “connecting doors” checkbox — that’s the request path. To get the guaranteed version, call Disney directly or book through a travel agent, and confirm the reservation is flagged as guaranteed connecting.
- Families only. The guarantee is for 1–2 adults with minor children. Three or more adults, or adults-only, get request-only.
- One reservation. The rooms have to be booked together on a single reservation, not as two separate bookings.
- By phone. The website checkbox is the request path; the guarantee comes from booking with Disney directly or via an agent.
- Still not physics. Even the guaranteed version carries a caveat: a room unexpectedly out of service can leave you non-connecting. Travel agents report this is rare.
