Does Hilton guarantee connecting rooms?
Yes — it’s the one chain that lets you lock it in.
Hilton is the only major hotel company that confirms connecting rooms at the time of booking, through Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton. No calling ahead, no hoping at check-in.
How to book it
- Search on hilton.com or the Hilton Honors app — not Expedia or Booking.com, which can’t carry the guarantee.
- Set two or more rooms, then tick the “Connecting Rooms” box. If a connecting pair is available for your dates, it shows as bookable.
- Pick each room and book. You’re confirmed instantly — one reservation, one confirmation number, both rooms connected before you arrive.

The catches
- Book direct. A third-party reservation (Expedia, Booking.com) does not carry the connecting guarantee.
- It may cost more, and the rate varies by hotel and date.
- You can’t change it online. To modify, you cancel and rebook, or call the hotel.
- Participating hotels only. Hilton says most of its hotels across its brands take part, but doesn’t publish the list — so confirm the box appears for your hotel and dates.
- Not physics. A burst pipe or an overstaying guest can still break a pair, and Hilton doesn’t publish what it will do if that happens. Best odds in the business, not a certainty.
